It was a weird day in Sunset Valley… someone, somewhere, was plotting, trouble was brewing. Malcolm was invited to a party… and I didn’t think very much of it, until I saw where he ended up.
Yes, that is Agnes’s old house. And yes, that is Nancy Landgraab in the corner, speaking of her ambitions to Dana. Malcolm overheard his mother asking cowboy hat girl to assist her with her plan. Wondering what her plan could be, Malcolm sidled a little closer to his mother.
“So you’ll help me take care of this little, problem, then. I want her OUT of Sunset Valley. I want my old life… oh, hello Malcolm dear. I forgot you were invited.”
“You invited me, Mother. Could I have a word?”
“What’s this plan, Mother. Dad and Agnes are happy. Can’t you just accept what happened?”
“I will NEVER accept what that woman did, OR forgive your father for letting it happen. I have my career, but she took my husband and son. And she, your father, and their little babies will pay. You, however, I can forgive. Come back with me, help me destroy the Crumplebottoms.”
“Mother, this is ridiculous. I’m pleading with you, just leave us alone.”
“Oh no, not you too. Do you mean to tell me you LIKE that Crumplebottom woman!? I should have known you were too soft for this…”
“I AM NOT SOFT! Agnes has encouraged me to become an astronaut, and to work toward a goal, something you never had the time to do.”
“Well then, I see you’ve made your choice. Get out of my house. I’d be worried about you doing something, but you’ve never been one to achieve much Malcolm, much like your father.”
Malcolm left his mothers and ran home to his father and Agnes.
It was getting late. He wasn’t sure when his mother would carry through with her plans, but he knew it would be soon. The people at her party had all been supporting her. And knowing his mother, it would be something unresolvable, unforgivable, and something for which she wouldn’t be punished. There had been police officers, mayors and criminals at that party, all working underground. Malcolm knew he was right for siding with Agnes, and breathed a sigh of relief when he spotted her, still okay, standing on the lawn.
“Malcolm, I was waiting for you. How was your mother’s party?”
Malcolm looked into her caring eyes and breathed deeply. If Agnes didn’t know what to do, he didn’t know who would…

oooooooooooh! A nice little mystery.
Nice to see Malcolm tell his mum where to go.
I hope what she has planned isn’t too awful.

Oh my word! LOL that Nancy Landgraab sounds bonkers!
It’s true though about that “hell hath no fury” thing.. but usually woman take it out on the men.
I read once about this woman whose BF had cheated on her, so before she threw him out she stuck anchovies inside the door panels of his fancy sports car… poor guy could not figure out where the pong was coming from LOL
